About Our Coffee
What does “HEKAU Selection” mean?
HEKAU Selection represents coffees personally chosen for balance, clarity, and ritual.
Each release is curated by HEKAU and roasted by trusted speciality roasters we admire.
We select coffees that support a calm, intentional brewing experience, not just flavour, but feeling.
Who roasts your coffee?
Our current coffees are roasted by North Star Coffee Roasters (UK) and selected by HEKAU.
We partner with roasters whose sourcing ethics, roasting philosophy, and quality standards align with our own.
Is your coffee whole bean or ground?
All HEKAU coffees are shipped as whole beans only.
Grinding fresh preserves aroma, structure, and clarity, an essential part of the ritual.
How fresh is the coffee?
We order in small batches and rotate stock regularly.
Every bag includes a roast date so you can brew at peak flavour.

Which brew methods work best?
HEKAU Selection – Ritual
Ideal for: Aeropress, Moka Pot, espresso-style brewing, and milk-based drinks.
HEKAU Selection – Slow
Ideal for: V60, Chemex, pour-over, and filter-style Aeropress.

Do you offer grind options?
Not at this time.
We offer whole bean only to ensure optimal freshness and flavour integrity.

Where do you ship?
We currently ship within the United Kingdom.
How much is shipping?
We offer flat £3.95 UK shipping on all coffee orders.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are typically dispatched within 1–2 working days.
Delivery usually takes 2–4 working days, depending on your location.
Can I track my order?
Yes. You’ll receive a tracking link by email once your order has been dispatched.
Returns & Issues
Do you accept returns?
Due to the nature of food products, we’re unable to accept returns on opened coffee.
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us and we’ll resolve it quickly.
My order arrived damaged — what should I do?

HEKAU & The Ritual
What does HEKAU mean?
HEKAU comes from ancient Egyptian philosophy, meaning “to activate” or “to awaken power.”
For us, it represents the quiet strength found in daily ritual, presence, and intentional moments.
Are you a roastery?
Not yet.
HEKAU currently curates and selects coffees from roasters we trust.
In time, we plan to develop our own blends.

We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
Do you charge VAT?
HEKAU is not currently VAT registered.
